Quality Matters
Pigment Ink (Giclée) Prints
At Legacy Print Lab, we specialize in pigment-based inkjet printing, often referred to as "giclée printing." This technique uses archival pigment inks instead of dye-based inks, offering significantly better longevity, deeper blacks, and more accurate color reproduction. Our primary tool is the Epson SureColor P9570, one of the most advanced large-format printers available, known for its extraordinary color fidelity and detail rendering.
We pair this with premium archival luster paper as a default option—offering a gentle sheen without the reflectivity of gloss, and rich depth without the flatness of matte. Luster is ideal for photographers and artists alike, balancing vibrant contrast with a timeless, elegant finish. It's also fingerprint-resistant and durable, making it a favorite for framed work and prints that are meant to be handled or displayed without glass.
If you desire a matte finish we use 100% cotton rag paper with a bright neutral base and a weight of 250 GSM (64 lb).
For exhibition quality printing, our go to paper is a soft gloss cotton rag paper that is 315 GSM and is reminiscent of a classic gelatin silver darkroom print.
